Vectores, imágenes y arte vectorial de stock sobre Back to School ...

Muchas gracias.
Éxitos en esta parte del año.

Miss Gisela

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello!! How are you!!! This week we`re not working on our textbooks. We`re concentrating on THE PAST OF THE VERB TO BE (WAS-WERE)

           Student`s name:........................................    Teacher: Gisela Ampuero

IMPORTANT: HAND IN UP TO 26/5
SEND THIS ASSIGNMENT TO THIS E-MAIL: giselaampueroisp@gmail.com
FILE 2 A - THE PAST OF BE (WAS-WERE)

The verb to be is an irregular verb, and it's a special verb since it has its own way of indicating past for different subjects!!! For example you say: YOU WERE AT HOME YESTERDAY NIGHT - HE WAS AT THE DISCO LAST FRIDAY.

Grammar notes

  • was is the past of am and is, and were of are.

  • was and were are used to talk about  completed actions in the past.

For example: I was tired this morning. Caesar was a Roman Emperor.

  •  was and were are used exactly like is and are, i.e. they are

inverted to make questions .
For example: he was › was he? -

  •  and not (n’t) is added to make negatives
  • For example: He wasn’t here yesterday. You weren’t happy last Saturday.

We use was born (nacer) to talk about the time and place of our birth.
For example: I was born in 1998.

Now enter this link  and practise WAS - WERE. If you don`t know some of the characters, make some research

WAS-WERE - Completar con minùsculas y formas largas en negativo. (Por ejemplo: was not-were not)

THAT`S ALL FOR THIS WEEK!!! SEE YOU!!!!
